For family night tonight we had a lot of fun making peanut butter cups with Kimber. They were so yummy!!!! and “lalicious”. A little messy but that was all part of the fun.

When we went to Marine World in July Jared and Isaac went on the new Tony Hawk Big Spin ride. Jared couldn’t resist buying this video. I don’t even know how much it cost and it doesn’t matter because seeing Isaac’s face throughout the ride is priceless. Enjoy!
Okay, so today went well. Isaac didn’t starve and he didn’t get sad at school. He had a lot of fun with his friends and even made new friends. When I asked him what he did today he was so excited to tell me that the work they did in class was so much better than kindergarten and some of it was even “funner than recess”. It always makes a mom feel good to see their kids so happy. A friend of his got to walk home with us and they enjoyed cooling off with some Otter Pops.

I think I was more nervous than Isaac was today. I am doing fine now though. I have a lot planned to keep me busy today. I just worry that he will be hungry or get sad or whatever and I won’t be there to help him. He did ask me if I could ask his teacher if I could help in the class room again this year, I told him of course and he anxiously asked if I could today. I told him not today but maybe next week. After a few minutes he said that would be okay because he could see how it is not to have me there.

During the school year Isaac did a reading program and received a pass for Seven Peaks water park. We decided it would be a good way to send off the summer.

We took a quick trip to Palisade lake this evening for a cook out with the “Boys Ranch” crew. There was a lot more water in the lake this year compared to last year at this time. And the water was surprisingly not that cold. The kids had the most fun catching frogs. They probably caught more than twenty but we made them release them all before we left with the exception of two that we brought home.

I guess it was worth us leaving for a month. Jared’s show went really well and the work looks great. I am really impressed.
Happy Birthday Jared! Today we went to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. Isaac had a lot of fun on the roller coasters and Annalise was a good sport about the ones she could go on. She wasn’t so sure about them but she would try them. Maybe when she is older she won’t be so afraid of them. Although the she did like the Gorilla ride which was by far the fastest one she went on. They really enjoyed all the animals and were amazed at the dolphins and sea lions.
